What's Still Manual (and What's Next)
I've automated a lot, but I'm the first to say it isn't done. The honest to-do list:
The honest to-do list
- Sold comps. The big one. I can pull live listings but not historical sold data through the API, and that's the data that actually tells me what to buy and what to avoid. Finding a source, third party or eBay itself, is my next real project.
- Label printing. Still manual. I want the system to generate and print labels automatically.
- Pick lists. Also manual, and still where I'm most likely to slip and send the wrong box to the wrong buyer.
- Turning on the message auto-replies from Chapter 7, deliberately and one rule at a time.
The scoreboard, though
I've gone from 20 to 30 minutes per listing to 20 to 30 minutes for a whole batch of 10 to 20 items. An evening's work is now half an hour. And every morning I get a brief on where sales stand and what happened overnight, so I walk into the day already knowing what to expect.
That's the state of the build. It's a living system, and I'll keep writing up each piece as it changes, including, hopefully soon, the day I finally get my hands on real sold-comp data.
